LumaForm is a browser-based parametric designer for custom 3D-printable lampshades. You shape a lampshade — or generate one with AI — preview it live in 3D, and download print-ready STL files.
A downloadable ZIP containing the print-ready STL file(s) for your design plus a configuration file that lets you reload the exact design later. The launch price is €8.99 (regular €14.99). Woven designs are €12.99.
Yes. LumaForm delivers digital STL files that you print yourself on any FDM 3D printer, or hand to a printing service. It does not ship physical lamps.
Yes — that is the whole point. Height, top and bottom radius, bulge, twist, surface texture and wall settings all update in real time, or you can let the AI generate a starting form and take it from there.
They are designed for vase mode (spiralize) — a single continuous wall that prints fast, uses little material, and — depending on your filament color and wall thickness — creates a warm, translucent glow. The geometry is generated so it always slices correctly in that mode.
PLA is the easiest and diffuses light warmly, but softens around 60 °C. PETG tolerates roughly 80 °C and is tougher. Either way, use an LED bulb — incandescent and halogen bulbs get far too hot for a printed plastic shade.
Because vase mode lays down a single wall with no infill, a typical shade takes about two to four hours and uses roughly 60–100 g of filament, depending on size.
The base plate has an adjustable fitting hole — set the diameter to match your socket before downloading. An optional stabiliser ring can be printed alongside the shade for a firmer fit.
No. Vase mode cannot use supports, and the designer warns you while you are still designing if a silhouette gets too steep to print without them.
Yes. The confirmation email contains a personal download link that restores your design in the designer and lets you download the files again at any time.
No. A purchase grants a simple, non-transferable licence for private use. Reselling or sharing the STL file, and selling printed copies, are not permitted. The full terms are in the Terms & Conditions.
Checkout runs through Stripe and accepts card payments and PayPal. You are shown the exact price before you pay.
